Beauty

There are a lot of beautiful things around us... whether its made by man, such as the parliament, or even something natural like waterfalls and sunsets. Below I have put a few pictures together of things that I found beautiful around me.

Virginia Waters

Even though I decided to use virginia waters to show the contrast between natural or man made things for strength, I decided to use it as a starting point for my beauty.
The idea behind this is that both things in this location, the man made cascade, and the natural water/ surroundings were very beautiful, and I think both of these things needed each other to create a very good looking scene. Without the water, the cascade would be dull and grey as it is made out of stones, the damp surroundings containing moss would have not been there either. Without the stones and the man made cascade, the waterfall would have not existed, making the setting look very dull and less exaggerated.

The beauty in this picture are the lighting and textures that make it look vibrant. The patch of orange is where the sun light is cast upon the lake, and the floor can be seen, whereas the darker bits are due to shadows being created by trees.
Textures such as ripples, and water droplets against the still animal looks very appealing, as it shows the motion in something that doesn't have life, but stillness in something that does.

The beauty in this picture is how the picture is framed, the contrast between nature and man made ground brings out a great beauty. I like the use of textures and colours here, as even though the objects are taking up all the space in the frame making it look quite heavy, the leaf still looks delicate and nice.
I also thought the lighting in this picture, with a natural source of light worked very well, as the colours look vibrant, and the shadows are cast at relevant areas giving depth to the image.
Through this picture I realised its not about either nature or man made and competition between them, but can also be the fact that both natural and made made things can complete each other to create a great image.

These photographs were taken at Virginia Waters, and i really like them bcause it shows the beauty of the landscape created by nature. I really like the images because they fill the whole frame really well, and i feel it creates an overall effect of beauty to the eye.

The pictures above were taken in Capel Curig, Wales. I really like these pictures becuase they give out a sense of beauty really well. This is becuase the photographs are very beautiful to look at, and it makes the person wish that they were also in this place by looking at the pictures. I feel the use of wide lens and also filling the frame proportionally makes the images look very effective. Whereas if the images had low lighting, and were taken without considering the photographic composition.

For these images, i went to London. I feel that these pictures show tha man made things are very beautiful. I feel this because a camera it self is very man made, and all the buildings are also man made, so taking pictures of building and London itself shows how beautiful the city really is.

I like this image becuase the use of a digital manipulation software made this image look beatuiful, where as the natural image would have looked like an ordinary tourist shot.

I really like this picture  becuase of the use of reflections on a lens. I feel that this reflection looks very attractive, and the angle of the image allows this to be effective.

I really like this image becuase it is very hard to get such an angle of the London Bridge, and also because the manipulation of this image really makes it look a lot more attractive than it would have without the manipulation.

This shows that man made things can look a lot more attractive than natural things.
