Here are my photographs that fit into each of these rules, and represent hounslow at the same time, like Atget used them to represent Paris. Please click on the pictures below to see a larger version.

Vantage point
This picture represents Hounslow because, people in hounslow are always under the wings of mammoth aircrafts that dominate the Hounslow skies. Also, I think that this picture is appropriate because the slight tilted angle makes the photograph seem like it's moving, and makes the picture bold, and pleasant to the eye.

Depth of Field
This is a picture of a flag outside the civic center in hounslow. It fits into Depth of field, because of the focused leaves in the foreground and unfocused flag in the background. The picture is deliberately dull, because it connotes the dull weather, and how the culture still keeps going, adapting to the surrounding.

Rule of thirds
This picture represents hounslow because it has the colourful skies, that show the multi-ethnicity. Also, i like how the trees and houses are silhouettes, because it represents how everythign in hounslow sticks out, but blends in at the same time. Almost suggesting that all the different things in hounslow blends in as one culture.

Use of lines
This picture represents hounslow with the use of lines as, the blinds in the building convert the large sports hall in the background into looking very tall, even though it is really far away. This is done because the vertical lines make you think that the object is longer than it really is. I like this picture because i like the reflection of the blinds on the window, this makes it seem like there are twice as more lines in the picture, and gives it a complete foreground, middle ground and back ground. I also like the colour contrast beween the blue and the green. There is a slight gradient of lighting as the light source is coming straight from the top right hand corner.

Framing the subject

I have used this picture to represent Hounslow because it shows how wildlife is hidden in such an urban place. Its almost as if there is a highlight of nature in the overall town, as it is building up to be a very urban place.

Filling the Frame
I have used the truck and a flat, boring estate in the background. The flatness in the background compared to the dimensional rails in the foreground, fills the frame because the bold foreground takes over the picture. comparing the society using its urbanization.

Summing up Hounslow

I used this picture to sum up Hounslow because it shows the rising heat and momentum. The urban life in Hounslow seems to grow more and more every time. The construction site in the background shows this. I like how the sky gradients from dark purple to yellow... this goes with the idea of a developing town and culture.
