"How to stalk someone"

Whilst researching I found a page showing instructions on how to stalk someone, this is shown below.

I then decided to take pictures of relevant steps shown in the research as experimentation... this allowed me to see what kinds of images would work for the subject.

Step one:

Find a victim. Are you particularly attached to the person in front of you in class? How about that hottie professor? It really could be anyone.
Picture
I took this picture to represent finding a victim becuase it looks like shes been chosen and caught. However, it did not seem appropriate becuase it makes her look like shes the one doing a crime, when shes supposed to look innocent.

Step two:

Hang around them a lot from a safe distance. Your watchful eye will follow each movement they make. Pay attention to where they park, where they eat, where they sit when they're just hanging around.
Picture
I took a picture of Aran taking a picture of Sima to represent the sense of him watching her from every corner and taking pictures of her. I found this a very typical stalking representation, however the effect given is quite good, and it gives a very eerie effect. I like the idea of having a black and white photograph becuase it adds to the depth in the image making it look simple, effective, and mysterious.

Step three:

After step 2, you should by now know what their license plate is, along with the make and model of their car. You'll want to pay particular attention to them as you are driving around. A two-car distance is good if you don't want to be spotted.
I did not find it relevant to take a picture of this step as it linked to step two.

Step four:

If they throw something away (especially crumpled up paper) take it! It could have some very valuable information.
Picture
Here i have taken a picture of Sima walking away from the shopping list she took away. I like this idea becuase it gets to the point, and allows us to see that even her rubbish is important by focusing on the crumpled paper, rather than having images of her throwing things away. I also like the use of macro/ depth of field in this image, as it gives it a sense of importance, and allows us to focus on the important part of the image.

Step five:

Google their name, find them on Facebook, Twitter, etc. They're online somewhere... Did you know you can even look up their police record?! If their misdemeanors matches yours, then it's surely meant to be!

I found this step very interesting, so i decided to create a different research on it. This is on the "How to facebook stalk" page.

Step six:

Find out where they live. There are so many things you can do once you have this little tidbit. You can send them flowers, a handknitted sweater made from your cat's hair, or even camp out in front of their house.

Step seven:

When sending mail and messages to them, make sure it's anonymous. It's just much more cute that way, don't you think?

In this photograph I involved the "stalker" in the frame. This is becuase it creates a very eerie effect of someone texting someon else saying they can see them, and staying annonymous. I feel the idea behind the image is very good, and i like the detail in his hands... however, i could have experimented more with the lighting to make it look a lot more sinister, rather than bright.

Here i tried creating a different effect. Instead of using the stalker, i showed the effect of what the stalker is doing... I made Sima look quite upset and annoyed over all the annonymous letters she gets. I felt that this picture was a lot more effective for this step than the last one, becuase of the use of lighting and shadows. Dark lighting makes the images look a lot more sinister, and sets of the emotion of being scared, which is what the stalker does to his/her victim.

Step eight:

Finally, never back down. Sure they'll deny having any connection to you whatsoever, but the truth is that your bond with them is so strong that they're afraid of admitting to it. It's your job to make them see the light.
Picture
For this image I decided to use the phrase "never back down" and for this

i wanted to show that the stalker is forever ready to start again/never give up. I made this picture quite scary looking with the model half smiling becuase i wanted it to look quite sinister. I also thought the lighting was quite effective in this image.
